Aside from the lack of translation on events and specific side quests, I must say the developers clearly put a lot of love into this game. For better or worse, EKO is effectively the best Anime Style MMO on mobile, and probably the ONLY real anime MMO on switch… If I was to nitpick, I’d say there aren’t many aoe skills so the game feels like it was simplified into 1v1 tap target combat, however certain enemies aggro so you can get definitely get swarmed still xD but there are legit mechanics at play if you take the time to learn your character and their skills, mage is great for a burst-and-run style and is able to remain a safe distance, whereas the thief is either a bursty close-combat hit and run, or you can rely on the thief silence skill to enable prolonged combat with speedy auto attacks. However… Playing the thief while prioritizing autos is still much different than the combat of a self sustaining warrior class, honestly if you’re a thinker and understand the mechanics then you’ll definitely enjoy the turn based combat here. Some more positives… The graphics are being updated annually it seems, the starting boss fight and first town look amazing, but certain npcs and areas haven’t been updated as much as others, which is fine cuz the game is old and the older textures are more charming than outdated. It all comes down to one question, do you like the equipment progression or not? That will make or break your experience!
